INVERTER REPAIRS

🚨 Attention Solar Installers & DIYers: Don’t Melt Your Investment! 🚨
We just tackled a serious safety hazard on a Deye 12kW Inverter where the communication terminal board was completely damaged, and the solar PV cables were literally melting due to pulling way too much current through a single run.
Overloading your PV inputs is a massive fire risk and can easily destroy your inverter’s internals. Here is how we fixed it and engineered a much safer, more efficient system:
Repaired the Inverter: Swapped out the damaged communication terminal board to get the system safely talking again.
Split the Current: Added additional high-quality PV cabling to distribute the current load, preventing overheating and voltage drops.
Added a PV Combiner Box: Installed a dedicated combiner box with proper fuses and surge protection to safely merge the strings before they hit the inverter.
💡 Pro-Tip: A 12kW inverter can handle massive power, but your wiring has to match that capability. Never bottleneck your current on undersized or single-run cables!
Check out the before and after photos below. Protect your equipment, balance your strings, and always prioritize safety! ⚡👇
